Where do you source your fabric?
We proudly utilize deadstock fabric sourced in small textile shops in London or around the world.
What is deadstock fabric?
Deadstock fabric is the excess fabric manufactured in fabric mills. This fabric is usually thrown out. By repurposing it for our hats, we are contributing to reducing textile waste in the fashion industry.
Where are the hats made?
We are lucky to have a team of talented seamstresses in London who put their creativity and passion for quality pieces to work.
Why London?
After deciding to create Buqet I was in London and I was looking for a seamstress to do some prototypes that's how I got to meet Valentina. And we just clicked, she has a small atelier in North London.
How does Buqet reduce waste in its production process?
Each run is styles is limited to a particular season, ensuring we are only purchasing what we need to create those particular hats. If there are leftover materials, they are repurposed in future collections. By creating patchwork hats.
Can customers recycle Buqet products at the end of their lifecycle?
Absolutely! Once you feel like your Buqet hat has completed its lifecycle in your fashion plans, it can be donated or handed down to your favorite family member. The materials can also be used for your favorite project. If you end up repurposing your purchase, please send us a picture on social media so we can showcase it!
How does Buqet reduce waste in its packing and shipping process?
As each collection has a limited number of hats available, and by only shipping within the EU, our packing and shipping process is actually quite simple. There’s no need for filler or excessive materials, manpower, or machinery, keeping our footprint small.
